ls7 heads require a 4.080 bore. l92 heads require a 4in bore. what you are talking about is rated at flywheel, stock you are making 220-250 rwhp depending on the type of dyno. all the bolt ons and a decent cam willl get 300-340 depending on cam, mods, and dyno

Try at least reading the stickies in the GM Performance section if your not going to search... https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=414374 That link could give you all the info you would need to meet your goals. People on this site have spent lots of time putting threads together to make information easily accessible for specific questions like yours. Use it to your advantage.

Do yourself a favor and just read, read, read, and read. And then read some more, because you have A LOT to learn. I would suggest not buying any parts or taking any steps in modding your truck yet until you have a very good understanding of what these parts do and how they effect your engine and performance. Make sure you also understand the supporting modifications that must be done before and after changing cams, etc.

So to sum it up

DO NOT BUY ANY PARTS OR MAKE ANY DECISIONS UNTIL YOU READ THREADS ON THIS FORUM FOR AT LEAST A MONTH. There is a lot of knowledge and experience around here, and you will learn very valuable information, and very useful steps to follow. We will save you money on mods that are proven not to work or be worth the money, but don't expect to spend less than $5-6K if you're looking for 350-400 horsepower.
What? Where's Scott? What have you done with him?

Oh, there you are, whew! Glad to see you're okay

OP, READ READ READ. When you are done reading, find another thread and read some more. You may not understand all of what you are reading, but you will have some fairly specific questions which everyone hear is more than happy to answer, as opposed to the "how do I make 400 rwhp with a 5.3L and $275 to spend?" question that has been asked over and over.

As for your goal, is it possible...absolutely, is it easy...no, cheap...HELL NO. But when its all done (its never done), when you wax your first mustang, and you see that look on the drivers face like you just kicked his mother in the teeth, it makes it all worth it.

A 3way high performance chip? I'd say you're at 500 hp at least.
