In that big truck, you need the 40K cooler. I bet heat killed all of them.

The bigger tires and 3:73 didn't help either.

When you get a chance, check out that thread. The bigger cooler will decrease your trans temp and help them live longer.

Gears were installed today, night and day difference. Ordering that transcooler now. I'll forward the cams to justin and see what he thinks. Truck actually moves pretty good now.

Wow you must ABUSE that thing to crank through 80's like that. A cooler is a must. Judging by the way the truck looks you probably spend most of your time in the mid and upper RPM range when youre playing, so performance off the line is much less important than it is to the rest of us. A higher converter is definitely not gonna help you as much as it would most of us in our 1/4 mile times.

Just curious... but why did you decide to ditch the GT2-3?

felt way too small, lost low end torque.

The transmissions were a result of the tune to be honest. Kept smoking the clutches and blowing up the torque converters. Once Justin put a little bit of torque management back in the trans and lowered the line pressure, this trans has last for 40k so far (fluid still red and smells fine)

That cam does seem to eat up a good amount of low end considering how mild it is. I swear my cam has more off the bottom than that one does... the mid range is better without a doubt and the top end is prolly similar.

It had a very good idle, and broad power curve, but IMO it makes power NA in a similar way to a cam much bigger than it is.

I'd talk to Pat G. Seems like you have a pretty sweet build going, I think its worth it to nail the cam as well.
