Ok, i know its not an LS1, but i could still use some input on this.
I am looking at a comp cam for my 99' Blazer w/4.3. Its a 224/224@.525 110LSA
. Its for 92-present 4.3s with the ballance shaft. It sounds like a great cam for the little motor, but something like Edit isnt availible for it. Would i be able to run this cam with stock tuning? Or by some chance does anyone know how i can advance the timing?
Again, i know its not a LS1, but id appreciate any input
.
Thanks, Ron

there are ways to program it, but i'm not sure who though. a few of the tuners out there offer programming for it so there must be something for it. that's alot of cam for that set up, i hope you did alot of head work. the stock programming surely won't like it and the rev limiter will be too low. this is a fairly common thing at s10forum.com and alot more info is there. you may also want to look into the conversion direct from gm to get rid of the poppet valves for that much fuel flow.

Ive looked at all those sites. Most of those guys rice out the S-10s and Blazers. I just need some general info from one of the cam brainiacs. Its already got a 2600 stall, K&N FIPK, 3" flowmaster exhaust, 75 dry shot, and bigger TB. ( i did all this that month i was bored when my truck was in the shop.)
Im just wondering if i could run this cam if i adjust the idle and fuel. I dont know how to advance the timing though. Is stock timing going to be OK? Will it cause the computer to go crazy with the A/F ratio without tuning?
