Default cam specs.

does anyone know the cam specs on the 1999 5.3L. also the specs on the 2000+ 5.3L.

does the 2000+ 5.3L use a 6.0L cam? is that the only difference between the 1999 engine and the 2000 engine?

thanks yall....

what kind of cam is everyone getting? i want a streetable cam. taking suggestions.........

hey, with those specs what makes the 99 lose power up top, it has a higher lsa than the 2000 cam and same lift/duration but still makes no power on the top end <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Those #s may be questionable. I found them last year when I was researching my cam swap, and stashed the #s away for a rainy day. I have not verified them.

in truck trends it said that the 2000's got the 6.0 cam. so i guess that is true.

Back when I was looking at doing a cam swap, I got the numbers for the 99, 01 and 01 Escalade. That was a few months ago though, I'll see if I can dig them up. For some reason the numbers are very hush hush, I could barely get the base numbers of the cams <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">
