Cam questions....

Default Cam questions....

I have decided on the 206/212 .535/.535 114lsa XE Comp Cams custom grind....I wonder though.......

The stock cam is a: 191/190 .457/.466 114lsa

what kind of a difference would be had by putting in a 197/207 .466/.476 115.5lsa cam out of the '01-'03 LS1 'Vette (I can get it for $20)

I don't figure much difference would be seen...especially with stock heads but an extra 17 degrees of exhuast duration is a boatload more duration than I have now....and with 1.8:1 rockers I could see decent lift as well.....

There was a recent post by FarmTtuck where a stock 99 cam was taken ot and replaced by an ls1 cam. This alone decreased the 1/4 mile time by around 1/10's of a sec. That is a worthwile mod if you ask me. Here is the link:
