I have stock 05 GMC Ext cab, with a 5.3 and 3.73 gears. I'm looking for a nice cam to install. I'm getting a tune with this also. I don't plan on changing the stall anytime soon. Any ideas what I should get? Thanks.

The ever so popular comp 212-218 on a 114, will be a nice upgrade, it is a proven cam

The real problem is this question is ambiguous, like asking what's the best shoes to buy? or what color is better (ok maybe not that ambiguous but you get my point?)

Camshafts are the beating hearts of our engines, they can make or break a setup and should be chosen for a specific purpose in mind. Not only that but i feel as though they define our trucks personality so much that it's almost a personal choice, not a cookie cutter one-cam-fits-all type of thing.

Please take the time to read as much as you can, some new <TECH> material was just added a couple of days ago and is very good reading.
