Does anyone have a 212/218 cam on an automatic Silverado, because I had someone tell me that the biggest cam I could put on my truck was a z06 cam, and I know I've seen people on here with bigger cams than that, thanks for the help.

 

Yes, I have the low lift version.

 

I have the low lift one too 212/218 .522/.529 lift. It runs but will need a tune to run as good as stock.

 

Thanks guys, I was planning on getting a tune after I install a cam anyways, do I have to get the low lift version? and how much hp and tq gain did you get?

 

I havent dyno'd mine but someone reported in the neighborhood of 35 hp at the wheels on a 4.8 untuned on the low lift. I think the highlift may yeild more hp but will need more heavyduty springs. there may be other caches but i dont know of any. You can go for a bigger cam if you wish but you will most likely need a new stall.

 

I'm currently running a 220/220 .560/.560 on a 112 with manifolds and a stock converter.

Granted I've got a 6.0 - it can be done.
