Default Cam quesiton...

I am looking into getting a cam in the near future. I was just wondering if this will effect my flex fuel engine. i want to be able to still use E85 if i want to. just wondering if this will effect that.I am new to changing out cams i have never done this to any of my other trucks. thanks
Corey

no. All your flew fuel package includes(to my knowledge) is a new spark table so your truck switches when you go to a lower octane. Honestly, from what I've read, it's a waste of f'ing money because anybody can get a tune and have a "flex fuel" truck. Don't quote me on that though. I know I have my spark tables setup to where I can run 89 or 93

ok thanks. i didnt know if a different duration and all that would effect that and yeah in my mind flex fuel is a waste of money but it was already on it. so i bought it with it but yeah anyone can have flex fuel but you have to make sure your lines and stuff can handle the ethanol if not it will eat through the lines. i think your lines have to be steel. not sure on that
