i have questions about cams and the cam sticky link doesnt work! first of what do all the numbers mean. and second i would like to get significant power, without any problems with idle. i dont mind a "lope" at idle but dont want the truck to die at lights. i want good power with the ability to tow a small boat or 4 wheeler. what problems would i run into with towing and having a cam, the other mods i plan are in my sig...

Go with the 2001 LS6 cam. it adds anywhere from 15-25 HP.
You can grab a used one off the net. You'll also need springs get a used set of LS6 springs. You can grab the pack for about 100-150 on ebay. I would use lingenfelter my self if your gonna buy used parts.

i saw on a post either here or gmfullsize where someone got 90hp of just the cam, i will try to find what it was but he posted dyno sheets on his truck...

does the ls6 cam need a higher stall. how does it react with the 4.8. or is that 15 to 25hp w/ 4.8?
