The HT1 from sdparts is a great option or if you want more aggressive a 224/228 with 3200 stall.

Those specs mean nothing, you need to know the duration.

My recommendation to you is a 224/224 on a 112. Noticeable idle with good power down low and would work well with a 2800-3000 stall.

Texas Speed 224R 224/224 .581/.581 Camshaft

Life is so funny, I spoke with a guy named Lonnie from TS and this what he mentioned, but the cam was a 220/220 w/581. Lift @112 LSA. He suggested lifters and rods aswell, but I didn't get the part numbers. To order the components. He said this is the largest cam I could use without changing the tq-converter. Can you tell me the rpm range on this cam and do you offer military discount?

220R is going have a 1200 - 6200 rpm powerband. Give us a call if you would like to place the order and discuss military discounts.

thats too much lift for stock 5.3 heads, unless u have 799/243s. someone please correct me if im wrong. thats wat i was told by comp cams when choosing my cam. just cuz that cam sounds good doesnt mean it performs good. and just cuz it might perform good in a 5.7 doesnt mean it will in a 5.3...

not to thread jack but what would you recommend, your 224/224 or 224/228-230 with around a .581-.600 lift and 112-114lsa? How much is your military discount?

Lift is not as pertinent to LS motors as is duration. Overcoming big lift cams is a spring change away.

Depends on what you want from the cam and how you use your truck. Either of those will need converter and are going to have a dead spot under 3000 rpm. Not knowing everything about your setup and goals, I would recommend the 224R on a 112. Feel free to give us a call or shoot us a PM for pricing and to further discuss your options.
