I agree with this. It takes a certain amount of power to move a certain amount of weight and it takes a certain amount of air and fuel to make a certain amount of power. Since modern engines keep the average air fuel ratio steady, and the 6.0 doesn't weigh any more than the 5.3, your fuel mileage won't be much different, unless you're on it all the time. The 6.0 will be capable of moving more air thus burning more fuel if you ask it to.

Mileage wont be any different until you put an 4l80e behind it, stronger trans, but takes more power to turn it. something to think about
