Hey guys,
Just about to start really getting into the modding on my truck. It only has a CAI, Exhaust, E-fans, posi, shift kit and Nelson PCM right now. Other parts being ordered are a TCI 3000 and Pacesetters from Texas-Speed.
I have decided that in the future I am going to get an STS turbo, maybe late fall/winter '05.
Right now I have come up with these Cam install parts.
CMotorsports 222/218 duration, .566"/.563", 114lsa
MTI Valvetrain Package (Springs, Retainers, Pushrods)
Would it be necessary to upgrade the Timing Chain and Oil pump during this install?

I did some research and was also thinking about replacing chain and pump with my heads/cam. The overall feeling I got was that it isnt neccesary. We only really need to worry about the oil pump after around 500hp and in high g cornering which none of these trucks will worry about. I think the blueprinted ls6 performance pump alot of retailers sell is bullshit. Hendzels book has something in it about upgrading pumps.
