Default Cam install lq4

I am bout to do a cam swap in my 2500 hd

I hate make another cam thread but when i search all i came up with is people asking about what cam to get.

Anyway i have longtubes efans now its time for cam.

I have researched and found the cam and started a parts list,

things i have
comp xr259 hr-12 (3 bolt)
Hd timing set
melling oem replacement oil pump
OAW water pump
918's

The next thing is the harden pushrods which brings my question,
Will the harded 7.4s work fine, i didnt want to wait until i tear into it to measure for the length

Another thing is I think i was reading that the rear cam sensor will be fine, is this true?

I know i need to get a tsp cam swap kit if the water pump doesnt come with gaskets, (its in the mail) if it does then i'll just buy the bolt.

Not for sure on the pushrods, but your cam sensor should be fine.

Are you swapping out springs as well or keeping the stock ones?
