Cam Install

Check out this article - it's for an F-body but it's pretty much the same for trucks.

Gaskets (SDPC sells a cam swap kit, complete with crank bolt), coolant, a little RTV for where the timing cover meets the oil pan in the corners...the necessary tools, etc. Some guys re-use their gaskets, but replacing them is cheap insurance against having to pull things apart twice. If the vehicle has higher mileage, a new oil pump and timing chain isn't a bad idea either.

Thanks for the link, the one place I didn't look far enough.
"Camshaft installation kits include intake valve cover gaskets, timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front cover gasket, front cover seal and a new balancer bolt."
I though the timing cover and the front cover were the same thing?

Yea, I think there's a few typo's in there...1) "intake valve cover gaskets" (it just comes with valve cover gaskets, not sure why they mention intake, which doesn't get removed when doing a cam swap on a genIII 2) "timing cover gasket and front cover gasket" is redundant, like you said they're both the same thing. Even with the typo's though, I got my gasket set from them when I did my cam swap and everything I needed was right there
(except for the cam and springs of course...now that would be a geat deal for 45 bucks!!
