Vortec350ss, will that BTR cam be too big for me. Says its: 218/224 .553/.553 113+3

...and I know Scooter picked on the GT2 but, the GT2-3 is one I've always wondered about. I've seen random posts thru the years, even in Avalanches, loving the thing. But I don't recal seeing any of them with a stall. And again I have that covered.

I'm not sure if I care about the "sound" or not. I havent had it to a drag strip yet but, probably will. I enjoy things like the link in my sig, lapping at Charlotte, and I've been inquiring at VIR about track days, so I do like to keep it wound up. But its also a DD so it needs "some" manners.

I also toss the idea around of autocrossing it, since I did quite a bit in past cars. If I can get a club to let me swing all 19 feet of it around their course.

LOL! guess all I need is the one truck to do everything. And still haul the family and look classy taking my wife out to dinner.

A 3000 stall with the BTR stage 3 would be fun, no doubt.

I ran the GT2-3 in my 5.3 for a while, it idled and drove very well, and pulled to 6400rpm or so. Very broad torque curve, but like said maybe a little soft overall.

somehow these last two are two I research most. The manners and apparent mileage of the gt2-3 sounds great. But I'd hate to sell myself an truck short. And the BTR stage 3 is the other end of the spectrum. How much more power should it make and where. And how much thirstier will it make my truck. I drive it hard a lot and see maybe 12.5 to 13.5 mixed as it is.
The Info has been great, keep it coming, please

The BTR cam will make more average torque, and way more mid range than the lingenfelter. The lingenfelter will likely pull higher and will definitely have a smoother idle.
