Hi there this is my 2nd time posting this, i recently dyno my colorado lm7 swap and the results didnt seem right. I have a 216/220 .560 lift cam with ls6 typhoon style intake, k&n air intake no cats and 3.73 gears 706 stock heads and stock manifolds. It made 274hp 278 torque. That seems pretty low to me could it be that something is wrong in the engine or is it that i live in a 5000+ altitude or maybe even the tuner? Thanks

 

 

Altitude hurts you for sure as well as the car intake for making torque.

Truck intake should make more torque for sure in a 5.3 and it's likely are down on power by maybe 10% or more because of altitude.

 

Do you think the truck intake will kill some power also will it throw off the tune alot?

 

Headers and truck intake will make a substantial improvement

 

the truck intake is better than the car intake IMO. I've tracked them both. altitude is killing you, and your exhaust is choking you.

 

Your altitude and low HP os the very reason superchargers and turbos were invented.

 

Is one of those a before and one after? As mentioned, swap back to the truck intake and add headers if you are after more power. The cam will appreciate the headers big time.
