I think I am going to pickup a Pro King "GM55" Converter for my 04 GMC SLT 1500. The converter is a I6 trailblazer converter.

I actually have to much low end with this setup and have traction issues.
in my 6L I am building the cam specs are 230 238 604 604 113 to help with traction for street shenanigans

How did your install go? Thats my next mod but still very undecided on what grind to go with. Trying to get as much knowledge on the install though for when I do decide what to get.

It wasnt to bad. I bought the crane valve spring tool so i could do two springs at once. It still took awhile to do the springs
Also i bought the tool to install my crank pully and two 5/16 oak rods to hold up the lifters just to be safe.
it took me about 9 hours to do everything by myself.
I installed the electric fans and nelson harness at the same time.
I ran into two issues. I got in a hurry and forgot to connect my air line to pressurize the cylinder And by by valve. Luckly i was able to spin the motor by hand and woohoo talk about luck lol
And at the very end not thinking i decided to fire it up just to make sure everything was ok. It started right up and sounded great but next time i will put the radiator in first Lol forgot about the trans cooler lines and made a mess of my garage floor lol.

Also where do you guys set your lock up for your convertors? Mine seems to lock around 45mph and i hate it.

Preference will decide the shift point. 6200 is really common.

Mine used to lock up at 45 and it was a bogger, I now have it set to 55 which is perfect for me since the rpms are around 1400 in lock up and not bogging.
