Default Cam choice?

Swapping a cam for a friend
2000 chevy ext cab 4x4
5.3 stock
35" tires
3.73 gears
He wants more low end-mid range he does quite a bit of off roadin and towing
Any good suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Something below 220 on the duration..a 212/218 low lift would do great..and swap out the 3.73s for 4.56s

Suggestion for more low end power? Gears. 4.56 at least. Those big tires and 3.73 are killing it down low. No cam will help much below 3000rpm. 212/218 is a decent option.

I would say before the cam that you do long tubes and gears. And of course tune it. Then see if you still want more.

Even after the cam swap its still gonna feel a little bit sluggish on the bottom end with 3.73s..a 2600-2800 stall converter will help, but some 4.56 or 4.88 gears would make it a completely different truck..he does understand a 3.73 isnt ideal for towing right?

Long tubes and mill heads to increase compression. A Cam Motion cam would be a good choice because they focus on streetable midrange power.
