Cam for a 5.3L daily driver
My truck is my daily driver, I have no other vehicle than my truck, well my chevelle but it's not pratical (4mpg) anyways I was thinking of a head/cam/exhaust for the truck, I figured patriot's heads and either 220 @ .050/ .581" on 114 (sleeper) or the 228@ .050/ .588 on 112(torquer). I've got sound clips of them both off of LS1Sounds, wondering how streetable they would be in the 5.3. the sleeper would, but the torquer?I plan on a converter and tune as well. anythoughts? I know other guys drive bigger cams but they have a 5.7+ ,i already have my rumpty-rumpty toy in the garage, just want some good performance outta the truck.

I just got the 212/218 with pushrods and springs put in 3 days ago and havent got the updated tune yet and Im really happy already . Im looking forward to getting the tune though! If I wasnt spraying n20 I would have gotten a bigger cam even for a daily driver like mine!
