Default Cam In A 4.8l

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

thts the link that im looking at...

Have a 4.8L and everything in sig... will that be too much lift? Heard that excessive lift tends to make you lose hp... what do you think?

That's a huge cam for a 4.8L, I'm looking at the duration more than the lift.

thats a big cam with a low LSA, I wouldnt recommend that cam.

For one, you will have a nightmare to get it to idle. And its just way overkill.

On the upside, it would scream between 5K and 6K

That's WAY TOO MUCH cam for a street-driven 4.8, you'd need to spin the engine to 8000+ to take advantage of that cam !!!

that cam is WAY TOO MUCH, especially with that lsa (110). I have a 225/224 .59 on a 114lsa & have had a ton of drivability concerns, not to mention it took a 3500 + stall to make it drivable. You sig shows nos, which you definatly would want a wider lsa with nitrous. THUNDER has the same cam I have on a 112 lsa & has had hell with the idle.....

So for a daily driven 4.8L but still speed for the track.. what do you suggest for lift and lsa?

Also.. when im reading the specs of a cam and it says something like.. for ex: 1,800-6000rpm.. is tht the operating range? or where it will be effective?
