The valvesprings take the longest and are the biggest pain in the butt. For a first-timer with a strong mechanical background, I'd say start on saturday morning and you'll have it done by night...worse case scenario, you run into a few snags and have to finish it on Sunday. I did mine all by myself in a cramped garage...started Saturday afternoon and finished Sunday evening.

One word of advice, get the Crane/Vinci spring compressor, it makes swapping the springs a breeze, especially the rear ones. That's what held me up the most during the cam swap, using different style spring compressors. When I decided to swap my Comp 915's for some LS6's, I used the Crane tool and had the job done in 2 hrs, taking my time and enjoying some ice cold Buddy's

Cody and I did the same thing on my truck and after he figured out how to use the top dead center method we had 15 of them done in about 30 minutes. The first spring took 30 minutes in itself though.

My vote is obviously for the crane tool

If you just want a little bit of lope get a tr224.

the one in particular i am referring to is orlando4.8 or something like that

he had a tr224 on a 112 in a lq4 and IMO it was pretty lopey

i put a 216/220 a tr 220 and a tr224 in 6.0s and i tell you this all of them had a lope i would personly get a custom grind can and be done and have the best of both wolds lope and power.

we put a 216/220 565/570 lift on a 114+2 in a crew cab and ran a 12.64 at 109are 110 don't rember the speed and that was with a trailblazer stall
