and how much were those RR's for what you gain.. thats my only point 300bucks+ for a few ponies if that

im not sure if it was a issue on your's but we installed harland sharp 1.7's on a few cars and had to grind the sidewall of the head(where the RR tips are at) a little bit because they tend to hit the sides. Did you check that to make sure nothing was hitting?

Just an FYI Im running stock rockers on my setup man with a much larger cam and stiffer springs with now problems. To me it sounds like you have the comp pro magnums I had a set on my truck but went back to the stockers for now. Also you can get your fingers in there to spin the pushrod its tight as hell but oyu can. I did 1/4 turn after zero lash and that worked best. You also need valve cover spacers for those rockers unless you have the crane gold rockers.

1slow, even with the cranes we had to grind a little where each rocker was to make sure it didnt contact the sidewall. 1 or 2 of them were still close with grinding!

i run stock rockers with my 228/230 cam in my TA just because the gain for the cash wasnt close to worth it. But to each his own.. they help im sure, but on most its usually a headache

I went back and adjusted them the old fashion way. I also noticed some bad plugs. Replaced them and it starts fine and idles fine. A little bit noisy. I went back in a gave each one an extra 1/8 turn. Sounds even better. I will check them again after about 100 miles or so. I know that they will sound like a sewing machine but I think its a little to chattery. Nothing is hitting the heads or valve covers. How long did you guys go without kicking any codes. I just pulled in and the check engine light is back on.

Well going by his first post
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=360842
and the fact that he asked about removing the lower plate, and then posting in the GM section, the only thing that he could be working on is a gen3. But his mention of stamped steel rockers does have me wondering now. Maybe he just hadn't had the valve covers off before he mentioned that?

What the heck are you working on man?

If you have some chatter still it could be picked up by your knock sensors causing the check engine light. Pulling the codes would rule that out of course.
