what is the best cam to use in a 6.0l engine. what would i have to do to this 6.0l engine in a rcsb silverado to be able to outrun a 2000 lightning without a supercharger.
I HAVE DONE THIS TO MY TRUCK

BBK 80MM THROTTLE BODY
AIR RAID SPACER
80MM SLP AIR FLOW METER
LS6 CAMARO INTAKE
FAST FUEL RAILS
3" EXHAUST DUALS WITH X PIPE AND 2 SUPER 40 FLOWMASTERS
NO CAT CONVERTERS
NO EGR VALVE
4.10 GEAR
THE CAM I HAVE NOW IS .212 .218 .522 .529 114LSA

i think a bigger cam will help out that app. as far as a swap. all the accessories bolt right up to the new long block. the lightening does not have a supercharger?? what are you using for tuning.

You might want to look at the Vinci 045 or 055 cam, maybe even the Thunder Racing 224. If you don't have a 3K or so stall torque converter, get you one. Opinions on headers vary, like well, opinions on cams. Several guys are looking at the new Pacesetter long tubes. Do a search on here and you will find a good thread. Of course if all this doesn't work there is still nitrous.

I'd like to see pictures of the LS6 intake and FAST fuel rails installed in your truck.
