I like the idea of the modified index race. They run a true index over here at Mobile Int. (classes dont race eachother) and it makes for some interesting races. I am in either way.

I think that will be a good idea. Just keep an open mind on those slower classes. Cause i know plently of people that are a little slower (like me) that rather race heads up then bracket race. More information would be nice when ever you are able to give it to us. Again, Thanks for the consideration of the truck guys in this shoot out. Looking forward to seeing how many show up......

I have some friends that are going to make the trip out there from Florida, and now that there's a truck class I might go too.

I just want to get this straight since I've never seen index racing before.

My truck runs 15.06, so my index would be 15.00. Someone else's truck runs 15.96, so their index would be 15.50, so they would get a 1/2 second head start on me and I would have an almost 1/2 second ET advantage on them, so the race would be close to heads up?

Am I right or wrong? Just seems that a regular dial-in bracket race would be easier, but I'm biased since that's what I was raised on!

If you have a format where a mid 15 truck has a shot I'm in. I hope there's a first round buyback,I'm not familiar with index racing, but I'll drive the 400 miles to show my tailgate.Sounds like a good time.Need more motel info. Thanks,Jim
