Default Callin flyer

hey flyer,,, you got a 3000 stall right? if so, i was wondering if you had a tow hitch installed? if so... i was wondering if i could tow my work trailer to your house, hook on with your truck, and see how the stall reacts pullin my trailer. Im seriously in the market for a stall, but am scared as to how it will react. I pull a 6x12 cargo trailer, around 3000 to 4000 pounds at times. Its like pullin a freakin parachute. Thanks

Also, any other people's info would be appreciated.

Yes, I have the TT3000. Yes, I have a hitch .. there's a story behind that one too.

About the trailer ... my truck doesn't handle weight real well. It tends to give the tugboat affect real bad with any tongue weight. My 2500 pound boat tends to make the rear sit just a hair lower than the front, and that's only about 200lbs tongue weight. I can tell you with experience though, the 2600 is sweet when pulling a trailer. It gets the engine out of that low low rpm band where it has almost no torque. The 3000, I've only pulled my 8x16 flat with 2 Grizzly's and a Kodiak on it, prolly about the same as tha boat, a little more maybe. It did good. When the converter wasn't l9ocked it stayed in a real sweet spot.

I really don't know if you could get a trailer in and out of my yard very well, there are bushes and a telephone pole on each side of my driveway. I play hell everytime I do it, that's why the boat is at my dad's.

You don't by chance come down 59 much do you? Between Jefferson and Marshall? I remember messing with a guy coming down. I don't remember the color of the truck. I think it might have been pewter, but I know it was 4x4.

Converter is just a matter of dropping the tranny. Some of the bellhousing bolts are a real pain in the rear. Just be sure to have someone with small hands helping out and lots of extensions. If you have an ATV jack, that would come in super handy too.

Me and a rfiend of mine did mine in his shop. Started about 6 that evening I think and we were done by 11. It's been a while .. so my times may be off a little, but I know we were done in time for me to drive home before 12.
