just wanted to add that denatured alcohol is simply e85. alcohol is denatured by adding gasoline to it.

im not really lookin to race the truck, i just want some more kick down low.
do you tow, or have plans to tow? if so, how much? i think cicle d reccomends not going above 3000 for towing combined with a trans cooler. i dont see any reason why you shouldnt get the 2800, even a completely stock truck can benefit from that tc

06Sierra2: i dont really tow that much, first time i towed was to flat-tow my scottsdale down from redding california to the bay area. the truck did, fine, wish i had a tranny temp gauge... my truck has the factory tow package as far as i know, but i dont remember seeing any coolant lines running from the tranny to the front. would they be tucked up for ground clearance?

Look on the passenger side of the radiator, you should see two hardlines going into the rad, so a total of 5 hoses going to that side.

update on the stepside...
ordered the cam and ls2 springs from scoggin dickey. they're with the truck waiting for me.
can anybody who has installed a converter in a 4wd truck chime in on how they did it, im debating whether or not to get a converter because i dont want to go at this uneducated and end up ruining my transmission/tcase
