Thumbs up California guys with cam's come on in !!!

Hey fellas I'm looking for a cam for my truck. I'm doing the 6.0 swap and 4L65E at the same time and want to install a cam. I would like to know how much cam I can put in my truck to still pass smog. I have not bought a converter yet and I know I'll need a tune. Any help will be cool.

Danny

I have not been to smog yet, but I am pretty sure that I will pass tailpipe with my GT2-3.

My truck ran CLEANER with an aftermarket cam in it. I have no idea how that should be possible. It had a 114 LSA. That cam made only 10hg vacuum at idle and had plenty of lope.

Yeah, that is why I played it safe with the 02 zo6 cam. I figure rick at synergy motor sports would be a great choice on the tune. He can tune it to where it burns cleaner when you need it to, and perform when you need it. I gained 80hp and 25lbs of trq. from his tune. That was because the motor was not set up for the turbo yet. It made 400hp and 525 trq. when dynoed as is. Good luck with the cam choice.

Turbo8- I read somewhere the Rick also designs cams? I might be wrong on that though. If he does he would know the limits on the cam. I would think.
