Default Cal Tracs GP

Would anyone be interested in a gp on CalTrac bars. When I got mine they had to kinda of custom make them so I'm sure if enough wanted them we could get a deal.
Retail around $325
Only have to specify if you have Hotchkis leafs(shorter bars) or stock
BTW will not work with drop hangers in the Front.

I will give them a call. Maybe they could have a list of guys here to give us a deal.

Someone needs to buy s set of these AIM tractions bars
http://www.truckn-store.com/product....p&ID=24186
I just got off the phone with them and they seem like a decent alternative to the caltrac bars
they conect to the fron of the sping like the caltrac bar and they have some adjustment via threaded rod and jam nut
Anybody live in Arizona that would buy a set and take some pics of them ?
they wanna charger me 36 for shipping an 18 for paper work to ship to canada
just some thoughts

i'm in for a GP, what's the difference if you have a hotchkis lowering kit or the stock stuff? i'm thinking about lowering my truck with a hotchkis kit so i guess i'd have to make the decision before i do one or the other.

A GP on those caltracs or AIM bars sounds good. Anything to help get rid of my rear end hop will do

Marineblue have you messed with your tire presure at all ?
do you have the ride control system in your truck ?
I find that it way too firm when engaged and way too soft when not crappy orange shocks.
I gettin my front voils put in tommorow with my hotckis kit so we'll see how it hooks on the road
Btw I'm all in I tried this awhile ago with no sucess we need at least 5 to get a deal

Before the moderator jump all over this i did post in the sponsor section and got no replies from them on the Gp

My truck doesnt have the ride control system. I have played with tire pressure when running at the track. Whatever I was doing at the track traction seemed to be allright, average of 2.3 60 ft times, with minimal rear end hop.

Ok, first off stock leafs will require a different length bar than a truck with Hotchkis leafs, due to the fact the hotchkis are a different arch, making the distance from the front pivot point to the u-bolts shorter. Trust me, in Feb 2000 I had a set on my stock leafs and When I lowered my truck Calvert sent me shorter bars for no extra cost.

2) I spoke to them and they said the going rate is 318 plus shipping. The only way we could get a large group purchase is if they sent them all to one address. But than we would have to pay shipping to send them to the differant states on this site, negating the benifit of the group purchase.
The other option he suggested was if any of you live next to each other he would give you a deal if you ordered more than one and had it shipped to the same address. This would help all you Texans out.
So basically My plan didn't work but I tried.
I would of liked to had like ten orders or so and they could make a bunch at once saving in production costs giving those who ordered a discount.
Oh well,

Creederado - MTI sells the calvert bars and might be able to work something out for us. Let me ask Tony who to talk to down there about the truck stuff.

The direct GP through Calvert was tried before but, turned down. Those are the rules of the sight.

I'd like a set too for lowered leafs.

John

PS - Jim, I'm jumping all over this thread. :p
