Default CAI vs Stock Intake

honestly is there any real difference between the two. im thinking about replacing my cheap ebay intake with my stock one and a good filter and open air box. just to give it factory look under the hood.

There isn't enough of a difference to notice...you could open up the bottom of the stock airbox and nobody would ever know, if you're going for the stealth look

if i had it to do over again, i would get a smooth intake tube, cut out the bottom of the stock air box, and put in a drop in k&n filter...your iat's will be lower with that setup too vs an open element filter

Get a semi k and n like my cousins camaro. Then header wrap the intake tube and get a angled coupler so the filter sits up and down behind headlight and parking lamp. Iat should be good and no restriction.
