Default CAI thoughts?

Does anyone ever have any issues regarding heat with their "cold air intake" yesterday i got home and decided to clean out my FIPK and noticed that thing was hot as hell! I stuck my hand in the elbow with a rag and almost burned the crap out my hand. Would it help to wrap it in header wrap or something similar to reduce heat from the motor.

im not sure what that thing is made of, but its not metal......some sort of hard formed plastic. someone else with the FIPK might know what its made of.....I think I'm gonna wrap it in header wrap and see if it makes a difference.....ill post up my findings.....

I don't know how much, if any, it matters but header wrap is intended to hold heat in; maybe some kind of reflective wrap or something? I don't know, I'm just saying...

ya you need something the reflects the heat.white paint is the best reflective color.go to lowes/home depo and look at the the wraps they have in the plumbing section.
jegs sells this #893-14500 its just the wrap only $45 to....
