Default CAI Fitment Problem

Well I finally decided to order a CAI for the 5.3. I bought the AFE magnum force stage 2. I have a problem though... I have the huge mechanical fan and the new intake tube sticks just a little too far off the throttle body and the fan is gonna clip it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? Been kinda wanting to switch to LS1 fans so I guess this is a sign it needs to be done. Thanks for any help.

Do you have a throttle body spacer? If so, remove it.

yup will not fit will the spacer... the tube probably has a groove molded into the intake tube for it to clear the fan shroud, its fairly tight in there and is not designed to work with the spacer.
