Default C1 cam in SSS dyno

Finally got my truck tuned in and some dyno graphs!! it was NOT the ASP under drive pulley that was causing the horrible knock like I had suspected.
mods are C1 cam, 222/222 .563 112
K&N FIPK, ASP pulley, mildly ported TB, tuning
I don't have a good baseline run since it would cut off at the speed limiter on the dyno with no tuning, but it would have been around 290 stock.

what do you guys think?? 40 hp for these mods?? I thought it would have been a little higher, tuning supposedly gives you 20hp and asp, FIPK and TB should have been 10-15 all together. that leaves little for the cam

def those manifolds and cats are holding you back john. otherwise it looks pretty sweet. most ls1s dont have those great gains untill you have that combo of cam, headers, and tuning. great start - we gotta line up the trucks someday

Very interesting. I think I would have expected more from it too. No exhaust mods? It peaks a little earlier than I would have expected, then flattens out like there is a restriction somewhere.

STOCK exhaust. maybe I should have stuck my 224/224 in there... oh well kinda nice having a few differnt cams laying around I could throw in

maybe !cats next?? I'm not big on spending 7-800 on headers, and have heard the SSS catback flows pretty damn well.

you guys think I should raise my rev limiter to 62-6300 ish?? how bout shift points?? 5900 or so?

current limiter is 6000 and shift points are: 1-2 5700, 2-3 5600, 3-4 5400

raise the limitor and see what it makes there at say up to 6400 rpms.

also find out what the shift extension is for a stock convertor (or whatever you put in).

I found good gains from my ASM headers using the stock catback. I changed mufflers and don't think I gained much.

Definitey raise the shift points and limiter. My cam is just under yours and I'm shifting in the 6200-6300 range. Power falls off after 6200 for me.
