I am looking for a built short block for my suburban and was wondering if any of you guys know whp has any and how much they cost. Also what kind of components come in the short block. Thanks

I personally don't know of anyone on here knows about a shortblock 8.1. Were however were talking about this but never came to a decision how far the block could be honed also it would be very expensive. I hope someone here has a better answer for you.

 

I am going to build a motor for my suburban and have not decided for a big block 540 or 557 or the blown 496 with a built bottom end 30 over and like 10-12 psi from the whipple intercooled. How do people like the whipple? Is is a nice package? I have the 4l80 trans and am going to build that sucker up so it will hold the power.
