Built 6.0
#1
I know of guys who got built up 6.0's but all have some sort of power adder. Does anyone got a built 6.0 with no power adder?
I am trying to do this build of mine with no power adder and would like to reach close to 550hp?? You guys think this is possible and keep in mind this will still need to be street legal and will be a daily driver. If I do need to run a SC or a Turbo I guess I will if absolutely necessary. But I want to keep it all internal build and tune.
I am stuck cause dont want to dump tons of money inot the build up when it wont be worth it when I can jsut throw on a power adder to get teh end result.

Its possible and I love N/A big power motors But they require a big cam and really good heads hi-compression big TB which all makes it hard to DD espically with gas as high as it is and you will need 93... were you can build a awsome turbo motor and still put down good mpg, and there great to drive everyday

And I planned on stroking it. And I did want to go with a nice cam. But I really dont want to spned the money to try and build it up to that 550 mark and then only get lik 450 out of it. That is what I am afraid of mostly.
So I guess I am at a fork in the road huh?? Not sure what to do??
No matter what I do this will be a beast of a motor!!

I know there are couple of people on this board running boosted 6.0's producing major power for a daily driver. That's my plans also. The problem with trying to make so much power n/a is that you must sacrifice gas mileage and driveability. Good flowing heads need a big cam which requires a big converter. I may be wrong, but I would believe a stroker would burn a lot of gas also b/c of more displacement. IMO to make serious power in a daily driver, forced induction is the best way to go. Goodluck with your project.
