Default Building a sequential twinturbosetup for my silverado

HI!

Im new here, made my interduce already.

So i wanna put a turbo on my truck like the sts kit under the truck.
But i wanna build a sequential twinturbo kit like on the TT-Supra. Im thinking/working (in my head) since 1 year on this idea. So theoreticly it shoud work :-)

For my prototype im using two toyota CT-26 Turbos from the MK3 Toyota Supra. On low rpm only the first turbo is driven by the exhaustgases, then in middlerange there is a "preespool" byepass to prespool the second turbo, at higher rpm the xxhaustcontrollvalve for the second turbo open also the air valve behind the compressor of turbo 2, and then both turbos run paralell. Double the airmass comes to the engine then, the boost is then controlled by the wastegate.
Is much complexer as in this text, ther are a lot of diffrent valves etc..

I wanna run 7-8psi of boost and hoping for 400-450hp.
One of those turbos create 240hp on 5.8psi, on a 3 litre engine on aorund 6200rpm.

So i think im close with 400-450hp with two of theme..

The special thing on the system is that the first turbo shoud got around 5.8psi on 1800rpms.....

In the moment my open questions are:

-Do i need one or two scavenge pumps to return the oil to the oilpan?
-Do i need bigger injectors for the hp-numbers i want?
-Do i can tune all the fuel and ignition with a diablo predator tuner?
-Do i need a bigger fuelpump? (i have a 255 walbro in mind)

Best regards from switzerland Breth

sounds like it will work fine but if you are going to take the time and money to do all of that work why not go all out and shoot for 600-700hp?

I am no turbo expert, but i think those turbos are on the small side... What is the size of the compressor wheel and exhaust housing... And aren't those turbos water cooled as well?

IMO i would go with a compound setup like on the new 6.4 powerstroke. One is smaller for low end RPM and one is bigger for High end RPM.

i agree i think they are a bit small for a V8 and you might have problems getting the coolant there if they are water cooled.

So the turbo is from a stock 3.0 Supra engine. The Turbo can make around 300whp on the supra engine. But remeber, the supra goes up till 6500rpm.. The vortec v8 will make not so much rpm what means produce not so much exhaust-gas.... And then are two of them on the v8 I belive the turbos are big enought!! The turbione A/R is around 0.6 (turbinehousing is the same size like a T3) i think, pretty small, but that is what i want a very quick spool...
So i already sad, its just a prototype, when everything works it can be put every ohter turbos on it, with only changing the turbine-flanges.
Other thing is that i dont wanna built the whole engine, and i thing 400-450 shoud be alright for a stock engine. 600-700hp needs a fully built engine, but i dont wanna spend that time and money into that.

Yeah the compund estup like on the diesel engnes work fine, but i like the funcion and the whole technic from the supra-system...... Also it is absolutly unique.........

PS: yeah turbos are watercooled....
