building a 376, need advise on heads

Oh yeah. Everything that can be done to them will be. There's a local guy that does nothing but LS head work. One of the best around. Everything is cnc'd and flow tested.

243s will do the job but l92s are awesome, 500 will be easy if its designed right, i'd get a good port job on them, the pistons will tell the tale, you need to talk to a engine designer.

Flat top pistons and a 64cc head (ie 243) will give you ~11.4:1 dependent on deck height and head gasket.

Stock 243 should have 64.5cc chamber. I presumed the heads would be resurfaced which could take ~.5cc from the chamber.

Seems to be a toss up between 243's and l92's. Anyone have proven power with 243's on a 370 or 376?
