Default build issues and experiences

Ok guys here is a question that has been bothering me and honestly burning a hole in my wallet.

I bought a 2004 ecsb 4wd Silverado with a 5.3 just over a year ago with 113k on it. I swapped the cam to a tr224 918 springs, 243 heads milled, long tubes catless, tbss intake, tb and injectors and k&n. all with a 4l60e That motor dropped a valve. (My fault)
I then had a shop do a 6.0. New cam bearings, honed new rings. Stock bottom. Just freshened up. Top was PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads. Tourqer v2 cam. long tubes tbss intake (same as above. I also had them strengthening up the tranny. Had a 2800 stall wide band new clutch bands. Blah blah. Not supper just enough to support the motor. Ran like a raped ape. Loved that cam. All into that I was 7k labor and materials. I figured have a shop do it so if I have an issue its on them. The motor went lean. Chipped a piston in #7 three months later.

Needless to sey they said it wasn't them and would not fix it. So I found a 5.3 dropped the tr224 and prc heads on it with all the other stuff and got it up and running. Tuned it and it was running great. In fact I was hitting it with a 150 shot. (Picture ladder racks and tool box.) Well the tranny went out a few weeks ago. (same shop) The rear main shaft snapped, planetarys shredded, the case cracked and so on. Funny thing is I was just going up a hill and down shifted coming home from work. Anyway That got rebuilt by a new shop.

I know I need a bigger tranny or back the nitrous off but that being said. Has anyone else had this much **** happen to them. I am not building anything crazy. Basic build stuff actually. I can see if I was pushing 500 to the ground daily but this is getting crazy. I am 6000 pounds loaded with fuel tools and passengers. Yes a tad heavy but not crazy.
And no I dont use that shop anymore.

Anyway I am just interested in anyone else's thoughts. Oh and I have a 6.0 and cam going up for sale soon. Lol The block needs to be rebuilt. No visible damage though.

Thanks for looking and thank you to all that have fed my addiction for speed and taught me I can make trucks stupid fast.

so your saying you get a nice 6.0l built and it blows becasue "something" made it go lean, mostlikely a bad tune or sensor when bad but you keep driving it.

then you drop a 5.3l with the cam and 150 shot of nitrous and blow the transmission that seems to have been abused by the 6.0l and the nitrous 5.3.

seems like you keep beating on the truck hard with parts that cant take the abuse especially in a heavy truck. should get a bullet proof rear end and transmission first before you get to ragging on the truck. something like a 14bolt rear with a 4l80e with a shift kit.

No it wasnt the tune on the 6.0. Baf injector or sensor.

I know I am but man its a bad omen. I swear. I know i could do better with a 4l80 and rear but its not like im doing crazy stuff to the truck all standard bolt ons. Not a crazy cam or verter. Just venting my story. I am done on this truck. On to the next project.

that's not a light truck and you are running parts that don't like power and weight.
swap a 80E and 14b in before you keep wasting money on weak parts
