Default build a high performance sbc on a budget?

bought this book that gives tips and actual proven combos that will produce some good torque and hp, but wanted to see if anybody else has seen these and what they think of it?

in my race car i has eagle sir rods, scat crank, srp forged pistons, comp 4/7 swap solid lift cam, 50 cc protop line heads 220 intake...single plane high rise intake...its a really cheep motor but still puts done 410 to the ground on a mustang dyno
