Default Budget motor build for boost?

I am looking at rebuilding my 5.7L Al block to handle 12-15# of boost (~750chp) without breaking the bank. What are some good componet recomendations? Right now I am thinking Mahle -9cc pistons, Scat H-beams w/ARP 2000 bolts and FedMog cam\main\rod bearings. I know the rods are rated to 900hp but I dont have alot of info on the pistons. I am wondering if I should just bite the bullet and get a set of Diamond -8.6cc blower pistons. :dunno:

You gotta take into consideration your heads, too...

Heads (for now anyway) will be mildly ported 241 castings with 66cc combustion chambers. Keeping the Cometic 0.041" gaskets a -9cc piston will give me ~9.7:1 static compression. A -12cc will yeild ~9.4:1 which I think will work a little better.

Go with the Diamonds Kenny. Thats what I'm running. Wiseco makes some good forged pistons also.

Well I wasn't very impressed with the what the local builder had to say yesterday so I will probablly end up ordering an assembled shortblock from one of the sponsors. I appreciate the input guys.

I did a complete budget buildfor my FI application, Probe rods and pistons, stock crank, Ackerly & Childs rings, all good proven stuff. My buddy Richard from WCCH turned me on to this route after seeing these parts live originally in an 800+ rwhp application and several more high HP setups since then. As you can see from my sig, Richard introduced me to Rex, another top notch guy, who built my motor for me and taught me alot of little assembly things in the prcoess.
