To a point. But you also want volocity with the more flow.

yea I am not going with heads after more reading. Just going to upgrade the valves, springs, retainers and trunions on mine. Thank you for the info.

Compare apples to apples. Mill the 243s back to stock compression and retest. It will gain more power based of the stock 706 heads. 243s/799s have bigger valve and flow better than stock 706s. yes you can rework the head to work it just the same but the cost of doing so, might as well as get a set of 243s (super cheap head) and port and polish and gain even more.

Your welcome.

Dont get me wrong the entire line of BTR truck cams are great, and if going into a stock engine, i would recommend them every time, but they are made for bone stock truck engines. I did port and polish on my stock 706s and i could have gain even more if i did another cam other than my stage 3 btr cam.

i am well aware of all that. heck i even replaced my cracktech 706 heads and used milled 799 to get a 9.9:1 compression.
