Default Broken Tranny?

Well, I think my tranny just gave up the ghost. Truck will still move but it feels like not much longer. Whenever I jump on the throttle it just revs until it hits the limiter. First to second shift at quarter throttle holds until about 5k before it shifts. Any ideas on what may be broken?

Is it low on ATF maybe? Have you tried changing the fluid? Your intermediate servo's O-ring may have come off not applying pressure to the band...

Judging by your mods in the sig...it doesn't sound like you smoked it unless it has a ton of miles on it.

ALSO>>> Once in 2nd gear, how does it hold? You should still have 3rd right? If you don't have 2nd or 4th it is the band or servo.

Nope ATF is good. Third and fourth both seem to work well except in third at around 70 the RPM's just keep climbing more than they should. Seems to be an awful lot of slipping going on in all gears. I dropped it off at the dealership. Should find out soon what broke.

Heck your pump could be bad also...it is really hard to tell you what the problem is being so far away. Hope I helped. Is your truck still under warranty?

Yep still under warranty. Squeaked it in with 725 miles to spare.
