Default Broke something, Help needed

I broke the fitting that connects the Heater inlet hose to the block in half. Can I just plug up both sides for now until tuesday and take it in and have the broken half drilled out? Will plugging it up stop the flow of my engine coolant or just disable the heater? its the small metal hose in the top side front of the block on the passanger side. This is on a 97 tahoe 4x4 with a vortec 5.7. Thanks guys

I do not think the engine will overheat.

No You Will Be Fine If You Block Both Ends.you Will Have To Put Something In The Hole On The Intake And Just Block The Hose End Off With Something
