Broke the G80 Rear - What to do?
I broke the G80 rear last night. I currently have a 2000 Yukon with a Supercharger. Should I just replace with Factory G80 and 3.73 or go with aftermarket? I basically stop light race the truck - never go offroad. I think the factory one should be fine (expect for my mistaken neutral drop last night).
I just need a little guidance and don't want to spend tons of cash but I don't want to break the thing every 10k miles either.

i hate the g80, i would chuck it and get something else, i have one bald tire and one good tire, the thing is unpredictable, sometimes both wheels go and sometimes only one. i think it has some kind of feature where when you get to 25mph it lets go or wont lock up.
there are several options out there for aftermarket but i haven't done enuff research to tell you what way i think is best but it seems like they are all in the $300-$500 range.

I got an Eaton HD posi unit from summit thats alot beefier than the G80. P#19559-010
It engages smooththly and doesn't ever release like the g80.
I'd also go with a TA cover for a little less flex.

I think Black Blown 02 is referring to this (pictured in the middle of the page):

I know there's at least one person on the board who has it - I thought it was oxidizr.

Other then the Eaton Diff whatelse do I need/should I buy. (I am going to get the TA cover.)
Also if I decide to upgrade to 4:10 gears do I have to do the front axle as well? And if so what gears?
Sorry for all the questions but I don't know s**t about all this fun stuff.
