Brake upgrade for trucks.

Well tuesday I was bored and walking around the dealer, when suddenly I tripped over some Suburban calipers. The Suburban calipers have two pistons instead of one and the brake pads are twice as large. So I decieded to install them, they were free so what the hell. They bolted right up.
I could tell a good difference and I am sure the larger rotors stay cooler. Anyway, I am not sure if I would buy all of these parts new but maybe you could find them at a junkyard. Thought, I would share.

They are the same. However, the SUV have a different valve that puts alot more stress to the rear. In fact, I have seen the rear brakes wear out sooner that the fronts on SUVs. I would think, it would be dangerous for the SUV with the weight and the small truck brakes.

Hey, I am the loser that doesn't have a truck but knows all about them or at least a lot so here it goes. Back in the day (2001) the GMC Sierra C3 came with bigger rotor and calipers. I bet money if you bought those parts from your GMC dealer they'd bolt right up and there would be no need to change front to back brake pressure. Also, these are 6 bolt lugs not 8. Several places stated that they were 3/4 ton brakes w/ 6 lugs instead of 8 hence the fitment. I hope this helps some.

Hey, I am in desperate need of rear brakes. I called the dealer and since I am in the net of the dealer meaning a auto park, they will let me get the rear rotors for 143 each and pads were 84 each or something like that. I have seen the power slots for 100 each I think. Would these be any better. I mean I understand the concept but just curious as to warping and things I don't need to deal with. Also if you,(stupidfast) happen to trip over any stock rear rotors can you let me know. Needing to replace them and hurtin right now for cash. Thanks fellas

DAMN! I posted up about this about 3 weeks ago regarding the two piston rear calipers, wondering if they'd bolt up.
Anyone know how much 'Burban rear calipers are from the dealer?
