Default Brake upgrade?

Has anyone upgraded their brakes? Any suggestions on parts to use, or parts that I should stay away from.

I would like to upgrade just the rotors and pads...not really looking to replace calipers at this point. Does Baer or ProStop make anything for the NBS trucks? Anyone using any of these brands?

Thanks!

I put the PowerSlot rotors on the front about a month ago. I can actually feel a difference in braking distance and control with them. At first I used the Thermo-Quiet pads from O'reiley's for 55 bucks, but after I went through 3 sets of the VERY squeaky pads (free exchange on warranty), I went back to the OEM ones. I WOULD NOT get the Thermo Quiet pads at all, my truck sounded like a full dump truck trying to stop... that loud!

Overall, I am very happy with the rotors, I got them from Tbryrne Motorsports (Sponsor on the right). They were very helpful and shipped very fast!

Good luck,
-Kurt

All my buddies that race for a living (short track and SCCA) swear by Hawk pads on stadard rotors. They stay with standard rotors bc they can 3-4 for the price of an aftermarket rotor. www.truckperformance.com sells Hawk as do many other places. If you call them they sometimes will deal pretty good.

You can go with PowerSlot rotors or the Baer Eradispeed rotors without replacing the calipers. I have not tried either one but havent heard anything bad about them either.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll have to see if I can squeeze some dinero together. I think that I'm going to go with the Eradispeed setup.

Thanks,
Travis

Classic Tube will make DOT Legal lines for $40/ea. There are 5, yes 5 rubber lines on our trucks! And the only problem is that they need an initial guinea pig to send them in rubber lines so they can make stainless ones. Like a template if you will.

I thought about ordering a set from a dealer. Sending the rubber ones to Classic Tube. Getting them both back. Returning rubber ones to dealer. I am just unsure if they will take parts back without huge restocking fees...
