Default Borla exhaust

I have my tax return coming soon and i want to rework the exhaust on my hoe. i'm pretty muh set on the Pacesetter LTs w/ORY but i'm not sure about the catback. with my POS flowmaster right now i get so much drone it gives my passengers headaches if they are in the car for any extended perion of time. i have the option to buy a borla stainless steel catback for around $650 if i want duals or about $450 for a single. i like the both these systems but has anyone esed a borla with the LTS and ORY. i am wondering about sound quality and if i can finally eliminate most of the drone?

Can't say much about the sound with the LTs and ORY but as a cat back I like mine alot. Nice deep sound without the cabin drone and the components were all realy nice. When I bought my CC Borla didn't make a system that would fit so i bought a Magnaflow and it's a little louder than I like. I'm even thinking of replcacing my mufler with a Borla in the near future.

thanks for the input, i would think that because i still have shorties and and stock cats and mine drones and yours doesnt, it is probably a good bet that the borla would do a lot of good to eliminate drone even with the LTs and ORY. i would still like to hear from anyone who has a setup like this though.

do you have a sound clip? also, was that with stock manifolds and cats? Do you know which muffler they used on the catback?

I am torn between borla and the hooker

I don't have any sound clips of my 03 ECSB with the Borla but the muffler was a 3" in 2-2.25" out. It looks like the same one Summit sells for about $180. I installed the exhaust on my dads truck so if I get a chence I'll get a sound clip. Other than the CAI and Predator hand held it was a stock truck if that helps.

sounds to me like borla is gonna be the wat to go for me. i went the cheap route the first time around with the flowmaster and the compression bent catback, but i'm tired of the poor sound quality and the New Hampshire winter is taking its toll on the aluminized tubing, so stainless steel is a must.

I've been thinking the same thing. The Borla sounds the best of all the ones on the exhaust clips thread, but no one has it with lts. I have obx lts w/ ory, and a cherry bomb muffler split to duals, and it is way to loud. I just don't know if the borla will quiet it down enough, but I don't want it too quiet.

TouchofEvil04 has Dynatech LTs with cats and borla catback. Honestly it is probably the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard.

On his 5.3 it was quiet at idle but sounded great at WOT and cruising. When he swapped to a 6.0 it got quite a bit louder but still sounds great.
