Default Boost activated exhaust cut out

I'd like to mount a boost activated exhaust cut out.
Just because it's bad ***
The only problem is: my supercharger only supplies 7 psi of boost i guess.
This isn't enough to fully open the cut out?
Are there boost cut out's that open at 7 psi?

I saw this one:

Just get a normal cutout and use a Hobbs switch to switch the relay. The only problem is it takes a few seconds for the cutout to completely open so unless you're in it for a while it won't ever get completely open

uuhhhh ok..Unless the exhaust is restrictive enough in theory to open it it'll never work,so whats the point of this again???

Just get a regular cut out IMO ....

The cut out will not be opened by the exhaust but with a little hose connected from the cut out to the supercharger or turbo.
That's what's cool about it

I don't want a switch to manually open it...

It is a good idea, but like stated unless you are in it for a while it is going to take some time for it to open.. I do not see any where in the read as to how much boost is needed to open it.. I would figure, the more the faster it would open.. I would just put a electric one in with a button you push.. Literally the push of a button.. Not to mention you go and dump 300 bucks on it, it works for a few months then takes a ****..

It's boost actuated guys will open fully as soon as it sees boost to the mechanical actuater. It's just like a waste gate only in the tail pipe. Run it, you can always add a spring to help it open at lower boost.

Default vacuum cut out

I modifyed one to open via a vacuum cut out. The benefits of a boost actuated cut out is, as KB stated, the opening rate is near instant, where an electric one on a hobbs switch or any means will have a substantial delay. The Supra boys have picked up big power with a boost actuated cut out when running an exhaust that actually was used to quiet down the vehicle. but that is not the case in this website where everyone is about loudness.

And for the skeptical ones, try to do this with an electric cut-out.

Pricey but well worth it. It's fully open at 0" vacuum, therefore not inhibiting the spool up of the butt turbo due to the post mufflers.

That is freaking awesome! This is something I have been fantasizing about how to do for years. I might get one someday, and if I did, I would rig up a WOT switch. Maybe a switch on the throttle linkage that would power a vacuum solenoid. That way, the cutout would only open when I really wanted it to, since I can easily get into boost at part throttle.

Maybe I'll get one just to scare dogs and kids.

Thats pretty cool but would be kind pointless for me as my truck is showing boost as soon as i take off even while cruising. It would be open like 90% of the time. Still very cool tho im gonna try one out and just adjust it to open at higher boost. Cool find
