Default BMF H2 dyno results [featuring TRACTION CONTROL]

I rolled in, dropped the front drive shaft, and put it in 4 hi-lock for the runs. The convertor was unlocked and all runs are SAE corrected.

Run #1: 378.43 HP and 418 TQ (@ 1:23pm)

Run #2: 358.57 HP and 438 TQ (@ 1:30pm)

Run #3: 387.40 HP and 460 TQ with a 50 wet shot (@ 1:35 pm)

Damn... Now I understand why the readings were a bit low! Upon review of the log file I see that my throttle was only open 78% (pedal was to the floor for sure!). I guess that the traction control codes that came up when the front wasn't spinning caused the throttle to not be allowed fully opened.

H2's are full time 4wd. I dynoed just like they do at LPE.... front shaft out and 4 hi-lock. 30% drivetrain loss and heat soak are a bitch, though.

does putting it in 4hi save the Transfer case? or is there only 2 options?

Nice numbers

Nice numbers

The options are...

4 hi open (normal driving with at 40/60 power split)
4 hi locked (50/50 split)
4 lo locked (50/50 split)

4 hi lock with no front shaft is the way to go. The H2 does not have the viscous coupling style transfer case. It is a regular hardcore 4 wheel drive set-up.

What size pulley do you have? How much boost are you seeing? Are the numbers lower than you expected? I would think you would have more HP but if you said you are having 30% loss and 20% loss is what most of us 2wd guys get that puts around 393... right? I would have thought you would see more than 10hp over your best with a 50 shot. Does no one else think that its weird?

I can see a hp loss from what I attribute to be heat soak. and the last run with the 50 hp does seem to make up lost hp from the heatsoak. Granted... a 50 rwhp shot is baed on a LS1 car so it is not really surprising to see that it delivered less than 50 rwhp.

The only thing that really concerns me is the fact that my last time out to the track the MPH did't go up at all when I sprayed the 50 shot. The ET dropped from 14.10 ish to 13.86. It did gain a little MPH in the first 1/8 mile but nothing in the last stretch. That tells me the convertor is hurt. But it's okay... I've got a new one ready to go in very soon. I'll redyno after that.

would the numbers be higher or lower if the converter was locked? At what RPM are you maxing the MAF? What size pulley and how much boost are you seeing?
