Default Blown head gasket

Check out this video of my exhaust on a cold start. Notice when it first starts how lumpy it sounds.

There's some coolant missing too ...

High Res (24.1 mb)

Low Res (7.6 mb)

Downloading vid now (dial-up, so I'm slow). The multi-layered Steel head gaskets seem ideal for boosted engines. You might want to pick some up.

that motor should have came from the factory with mls gaskets in it. pushing 60lb's of air is a lot. how much boost/timing were you running? what compresion? what fuel?

it isn't too hard to swap them out in the truck, maybe you want to step up to some head studs while you are in there.

have you pulled the plugs yet? i would like to know what the worst one looks like.

Broken driveshaft, and now this? I think you need to have some one-on-one time with your truck man. Show some love.

This happened I guess ever since I put the 6.0 heads on. I guess I'm gonna have to yank that one side off again. It won't be to big of a deal since I already got studs in there.

I don't have the coin at hte moment to do anything else with the heads. I have a set of 6.0 heads on there now.

I guess when I changed the pushrods (50 thou shorter), it started making more compression and went ahead and pushed them over the edge.
