Have you looked at the 01 or 02 z06 cams? Mild cams that would be emissions legal that would give decent power gains, and should be perfect for a blower. I know the 02 z06 cam has -24* overlap, but I am not sure about the 01 z06 cam. Not to mention they would not only be great for a 2500 stall they would save you some $$ to help you pay for a stall or any other mods. Just my $.02

These would probably be very trouble free to say the least and a definite possibility. Ultimately, I'd like to see if I could get a more powerful Cam IF I could be confident ahead of time it would meet my requirements. Thanks for the suggestions

Hey guys, with a blower motor overlap has to be minimzed or it will bleed off boost and unburnt fuel. High LSA, good lift biased heavily toward exhaust, and minimal overlap.

Although it may look like it, the '02 ls6 cam is not a great choice. It leaves much to be had on the table. Trust me, I know

I was thinking more along the lines of -10deg overlap +/-

I know that it isn't a 5.3...but yesterday we just fired up my 02 Vette with the new supercharger, AFRs, and custom Comp cam.

I did a ton of research and ended up going with a 220/224 .581/.581 115+2 Comp XE-R custom grind. I wanted something with low overlap for boost, good idle, and the ability to pass and emissions test. We weren't able to drive the car since it had just snowed but at idle it sounds like stock with the idle set at 850.
